Communications Division

What We Do:

The Crown Point Police Communications Division is the beating heart of emergency services for the City of Crown Point. All Emergency and Non-Emergency telephone calls are routed through our "Radio Room." All Police Officers, Paramedics, and Fire Fighters are dispatched by our Telecommunications Officers.

Our communications center is equipped with two identical radio and computer consoles. They boast brand new high speed computers, access to IDACS and NCIC. Each position also has an Enhanced-911 telephone and computer. The consoles also feature a Motorola Centracomm Radio Console. Please check out our 911 Safety Guide.
