Crown Point Police Department

Monday May 19, 2003 was the first day of increased seatbelt enforcement by the Crown Point Police Department. Click HERE for the story.

In cooperation with the Governor's Council on Impaired & Dangerous Driving, a division of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, the Crown Point Police Department is implementing the "Click It or Ticket" seat belt campaign. This campaign begins May 18th and runs through the end of the month.

"Click It or Ticket" uses high visibility enforcement, aggressive public information and education and intense media coverage to send the message to motorists that if they do not comply with Indiana's seat belt and child restraint laws, they will receive a ticket.
